What We Ordered at City Fire Brownwood

On our latest visit to City Fire Brownwood, we tried a little bit of everything at the table:

• Cuban Sandwich with Jalapeño Coleslaw – This was my pick, and it hit the spot. The sandwich was perfectly pressed with layers of roasted pork, ham, cheese, and pickles. The jalapeño slaw on the side gave it just the right kick.
• Nutty Cheesy Salad – Debbie’s choice, and one of the lighter options on the menu. It’s a mix of fresh greens tossed with zucchini sour cream dressing, cheddar jack, walnuts, sunflower seeds, almonds, tomatoes, and black olives.
• The Burger – A City Fire classic. Juicy, flavorful, and served with all the fixings. If you’re a burger person, this is a safe and satisfying bet.
• The Ruben – Our friends ordered this, and one very experienced diner even asked for it on the same bread used for the Cuban. Let’s just say it looked incredible—maybe a hack worth trying next time!

Service & Vibe

Service at this Brownwood restaurant has always leaned toward quick and friendly. Given how busy Brownwood can get on a music night, it’s impressive that food and drinks usually come out without much of a wait. Add in the pub-style menu and the steady buzz from the bar, and you’ve got one of the square’s most reliable spots to meet up with friends.
