New businesses in The Villages are transforming the community. Exciting additions like Costco, Hooters, and 4 Rivers Smokehouse are just a few examples.
Costco opens August 6, 2025, and will offer everything from groceries to electronics. Alongside it, new restaurants like Hooters and 4 Rivers are adding variety to the local food scene.

A brand-new Target is nearly complete at Trailwinds Village. It will offer everything from groceries and clothes to electronics and home goods.
Super Walmart – Coming Soon to Route 44 and Morse Blvd
Super Walmart is under construction at Route 44 and Morse Blvd. It will include gas stations but won’t be golf cart accessible.

Hooters – Opened July 7, 2025

Harry and the Natives – Coming Near Lake Okahumpka
This popular Florida chain is opening a lakeside restaurant between St. Johns and Richmond Villages. Expect a tiki hut, outdoor dining, live music, and dishes like Mahi Reuben Tacos and Shrimp & Grits. Launch expected in August 2025.
4 Rivers Smokehouse – Coming Soon to Downtown Middleton
Known for slow-smoked meats, 4 Rivers is opening a 4,725-square-foot restaurant in Middleton. Look forward to brisket, pulled pork, and St. Louis ribs with plenty of outdoor seating.
Dunkin’ Donuts – Opening on Route 44 Next to Hooters

Piesano’s Stone Fired Pizza – Coming to Southern Trace Plaza
