Chick-fil-A Confirmed for 466A — What We Know So Far

At a glance: Yes — a Chick-fil-A is confirmed for Route 466A. The site is on the vehicle-only side of the road, not golf-cart accessible, and based on current progress, opening still looks to be about a year away.

After a lot of questions and more than a few rumors, this one is now settled: a Chick-fil-A is officially coming to Route 466A.

This has been one of the most asked-about additions lately, and at this point it’s no longer guesswork. Plans are moving forward, and the location is now locked in.

Where the Chick-fil-A Will Be Located

The new Chick-fil-A will sit along the same stretch of 466A as Target, Outback Steakhouse, and ABC Fine Wine & Spirits — directly across from Twistee Treat. It’s a busy corridor already, which is part of why this location has been talked about for so long.

A couple of practical things are worth knowing up front:

  • You won’t be able to get here by golf cart — this stretch of 466A is vehicle-only
  • Construction is just getting started
  • Based on where things stand now, it looks like we’re still about a year out from opening

Once it’s open, this spot will almost certainly be busy, especially around lunch and early evening. That part of 466A already sees steady traffic most days, and Chick-fil-A tends to amplify that wherever it goes.

Another Big Retail Project Moving Along

This Chick-fil-A isn’t the only major retail project moving forward right now. The new Walmart on Route 44 is also nearing completion. Rather than repeat details here, we’re keeping all of the latest timelines and on-site observations on our dedicated page here.

Taken together, these projects show something many residents have noticed for a while now: retail development is finally starting to catch up with how fast the area has grown.

For residents who drive this stretch regularly, the site is hard to miss once you know where to look. Even at this early stage, it’s clear how visible the location will be once construction picks up.

As always, we’ll update this page as construction progresses or timelines shift. When something moves from rumor to reality, we’ll keep drawing that line clearly.
