If you love barbecue, check out our 4 Rivers Smokehouse review — another great local spot serving slow-smoked meats and southern favorites.

Our waitress was absolutely awesome — attentive, friendly, and quick with refills. She mentioned they host live music on some nights, and Tuesdays are trivia nights that get packed. Sounds like a fun local hangout. You can see more about their upcoming events on County Line’s Facebook page.

Happy Hour & Drinks at County Line Smokehouse Weirsdale

Happy hour deals were almost unbelievable — just $1 off mixed drinks, making our gin and tonics $4 each. At that price, you can’t help but smile.

Starters at the Smokehouse

We began with burnt ends. They disappeared quickly (we were hungry!), and while I thought they were just okay, our companions really enjoyed them.

BBQ Favorites & Main Courses

Ricky Bobby’s Feast BBQ platter at County Line Smokehouse Weirsdale

We both ordered Ricky Bobby’s Feast — pulled pork, a half rack of ribs, Texas toast, and two sides. We added brisket for an extra $7, and wow — totally worth it. Brisket is tricky to get right, but theirs was tender, flavorful, and perfectly smoked. The ribs were great, the pulled pork was surprisingly tasty even for someone who’s not usually a fan, and the Texas toast was downright addictive. We both agreed this was some of the best BBQ we’ve had in the area.

Smoked Chef Salad from County Line Smokehouse Weirsdale

Our friend ordered the Smoked Chef Salad — generous, hearty, and beautifully presented. No skimping here either.

Peach cobbler dessert with vanilla ice cream

We couldn’t leave without trying the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. It was massive — $8 for a portion big enough to feed four, and we still couldn’t finish it. Warm, sweet, and the perfect ending to a great meal.

More About County Line Smokehouse Weirsdale

Our waitress told us County Line is part of a small local group of restaurants, including:

  • The Anchor on Sunset Harbor — known for its Crab Fries (fries tossed with garlic and Parmesan, topped with crab meat and garlic aioli).
  • Elevation 89 at the Ocala Airport — a bit more upscale, perfect for a dining experience with a view.
  • Say Taco in Ocala — a fun and flavorful Mexican spot.

Clearly, these are seasoned restaurant folks who know what they’re doing — and it shows.

Final Thoughts

Between the friendly service, generous portions, and wallet-friendly prices, County Line Smokehouse Weirsdale is an easy place to recommend. It’s casual and unpretentious — the kind of spot where there’s a roll of paper towels on every table — and it delivers big on flavor and value.

Tip: Go for happy hour, bring friends, and save room for dessert.

Plenty of leftovers for the next day — always a good sign!
