Atmosphere & Location at Edna’s on the Green The Villages

Edna’s sits directly on the Marshview Pitch & Putt, widely considered one of the most beautiful pitch-and-putt courses in The Villages. In addition, picnic seating is spread across the lawn under towering live oaks, with open views of the course. Meanwhile, most afternoons feature live music, and you can hear it drifting across the fairways while you’re playing — one of the reasons we enjoy stopping here so much.

Group Notes from Our Visit

Since we visited with a group, we had a chance to sample a good mix of the menu. Overall, everything was well liked, with just a few personal preferences worth noting:

  • The grouper nuggets were good, though the dipping sauce had a noticeable kick.
  • The collard greens also leaned a bit spicy for some at the table.
  • The pulled pork sandwich was flavorful, though our portion was slightly overdone.

That said, the rest of the dishes we tried were enjoyed across the board, and the overall experience kept us lingering longer than planned.

Live Music

Not surprisingly, live music is a big part of the experience here, with local performers most afternoons. On many days, the music carries across the pitch-and-putt course, creating a relaxed soundtrack for both golfers and diners.

Pro Tips

  • Food and drinks are separate — order food at the window, then visit the bar hut.
  • Arrive early for the best shaded seating.
  • Bring folding chairs just in case — seating is picnic-style and it can get crowded during popular live music sets.
  • Perfect post-round stop after playing Marshview Pitch & Putt.

Bottom Line

Overall, with its scenic setting, casual takeout ordering, and steady lineup of live music, Edna’s on the Green is an easy choice for a relaxed lunch or afternoon hangout.
