Lucky Goat Coffee Eastport Review: A First Look at The Villages’ Newest Coffee Shop

Already well known in Florida for roasting its own coffee, Lucky Goat offers much more than a quick cup of coffee. Along with espresso drinks and brewed coffee, the menu includes nitrogen-infused cold brew, seasonal specialty drinks, teas, lemonade, pastries, and light breakfast options. We recently stopped in to see what it’s like and whether it’s worth adding to your regular coffee rotation.

Lucky Goat Coffee Eastport Atmosphere

The space feels clean, bright, and welcoming from the moment you walk in.

Large windows bring in plenty of natural light, while the seating layout makes it easy to stay for a while rather than simply grabbing coffee to go. Whether you’re meeting friends, catching up on emails, or looking for a break from the Florida heat, the shop offers a comfortable place to settle in.

During our visit, the café was busy with first-time customers, but the staff remained friendly and our drinks arrived quickly.

What We Ordered

I ordered Lucky Goat’s signature nitro cold brew.

Unlike traditional iced coffee, nitro cold brew is infused with nitrogen gas, creating a smooth, creamy texture without adding cream.

My wife really enjoyed it.

For me, however, it was almost too smooth. I generally prefer a stronger coffee flavor with a little more bite, and I found the nitro cold brew a bit mild for my taste.

That certainly doesn’t make it bad—it simply comes down to personal preference. If you enjoy smoother, less acidic coffee, you’ll probably appreciate it much more than I did.

Next time, I’ll likely try one of the iced espresso drinks instead.

Breakfast and Pastry Selection

Lucky Goat also offers an impressive bakery case with a variety of sweet and savory breakfast items.

During our visit we found:

• Blueberry pastries
• Spinach feta pastries
• Bacon spinach frittatas
• Bagels
• Brownies

It’s a nice selection if you’re looking for a light breakfast or something to enjoy with your coffee.

The Menu

If you’re visiting for the first time, the menu offers enough variety that both coffee enthusiasts and casual coffee drinkers should be able to find something they’ll enjoy.

The menu covers nearly every style of coffee drink you could want, including nitro cold brew, espresso drinks, cappuccinos, lattes, Americanos, macchiatos, matcha, chai, lemonade, hot chocolate, and seasonal specialty beverages.

Seasonal offerings during our visit included the Hawaiian Hazelnut Cold Brew, Toasted Coconut Caramel Latte, and Passionfruit Matcha Lemonade. Prices were very reasonable and comparable to other specialty coffee shops.

A Few Things to Know

If you’re expecting a bold, traditional iced coffee, the nitro cold brew may surprise you.

It’s intentionally smoother and less bitter than regular iced coffee. I’d probably try one of the espresso-based iced drinks next time, while my wife would happily order the nitro cold brew again.

Our Take

Lucky Goat Coffee gives Eastport another place to grab a quality cup of coffee, and it adds a specialty café that many residents have been looking forward to.

The atmosphere is inviting, the pastry selection offers plenty of choices, and the overall experience made a positive first impression. While the nitro cold brew wasn’t my personal favorite, that’s simply a matter of taste rather than quality. If you prefer smooth, low-acid coffee, it may end up being your favorite drink on the menu.

We’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu, and next time I’ll likely try one of the iced espresso drinks instead.
