Oak & Stone Opens October 6 — Plus a Peek Inside LUXE Steakhouse

Oak & Stone now has a firm opening date of October 6, and when I stopped by Eastport today, staff training was already underway.

The new Oak & Stone sits at 7016 Central Lake Drive, overlooking Central Lake in Eastport. The Villages shared more details when it announced Oak & Stone was coming to Eastport.

The restaurant specializes in artisan pizza, tavern-style favorites and craft beer. Plans for the Eastport location include indoor seating, an indoor-outdoor bar, patio seating and Oak & Stone’s signature self-pour tap wall.

The outdoor area is also taking shape. One feature that immediately caught my eye was a large communal table with a built-in fire feature.

With its location near the outdoor stage and Central Lake, I expect this to become a pretty busy gathering spot once Eastport events and evening activity really get going.

A peek inside LUXE Steakhouse & Cellar

I also stopped by LUXE Steakhouse & Cellar today and got a look inside.

There is still work going on, but the restaurant looks considerably further along. The flooring is down, the chandeliers and lighting are in place, and the large wine-cellar-style divider gives us a much better idea of what the finished restaurant will look like.

Boxes, tools and workers were still visible, so it is clearly not quite ready for customers yet. But compared with earlier in the project, this looks like a restaurant that is getting much closer.

I still do not have a confirmed opening date for LUXE, so I am not going to guess. As soon as there is an official date, I will pass it along.

For now, we have one date we can put on the calendar: Oak & Stone opens October 6.

LUXE does not have a public opening date yet, but today’s look inside shows that significant progress has been made.
