Sakura Japanese Restaurant sits in La Plaza Grande South, an easy golf-cart hop from Spanish Springs, and runs two dining experiences under one roof: lively teppanyaki tables where the chef cooks right in front of you, and a full sushi bar turning out sashimi, specialty rolls and appetizers like gyoza and shrimp tempura.

Hibachi dinners come with soup, salad, vegetables, noodles and a choice of fried or steamed rice alongside your protein, and portions run large enough that leftovers are common. Beyond hibachi, the menu covers teriyaki, tempura, noodles and other Japanese entrées, so there’s plenty to order even when hibachi isn’t the plan for the table.
