Tasty Treat on 466A Near Pinellas Plaza Is Starting to Take Shape

We stopped by the Tasty Treat site on 466A near Pinellas Plaza recently, and it’s reached a point where you can clearly see what it’s going to be.

This location has been in progress for a while, but this is the first stage where it starts to feel recognizable rather than just a construction site.

The cone-shaped structure is now fully up. From the road, it already stands out, and if you’ve driven through this stretch of 466A recently, it’s hard to miss.

We stopped by again recently, and compared to our earlier visit, the site has come a long way.

The surrounding area is still in progress, though it’s starting to take on a more finished look compared to earlier stages.

Up close, it’s still an active construction site.

When we visited, there was ongoing work around the building, including excavation and exterior finishing. Equipment was on-site, and crews were actively working around the structure.

Some of the openings for windows and service areas are in place, but not yet completed, and parts of the exterior — especially around the base and trim — still look unfinished.

It’s at that in-between stage where the layout is clear, but it doesn’t look ready to open yet.

What this location appears to include

• A drive-thru lane
• Walk-up ordering windows
• Some outdoor seating space

The drive-thru path is already taking shape around the building, which makes it easier to understand how traffic will likely flow once it’s open.

That setup is consistent with other Tasty Treat locations, though final details could still change as construction continues.

How it’s progressing

If you’ve been watching this site over the past several months, this is probably the most visible progress so far.

It’s moved from early groundwork to something that now looks like a real location, even if there’s still work left to be done.

As of now, there’s no clear timeline for opening. Based on what we saw during our visit, it doesn’t appear to be immediate, but it’s clearly getting closer.

We’ll update this once there’s a clearer sense of timing or when the site looks closer to completion.
