According to Walmart advertising displayed at the site, the new store at Highway 466 and Hammock Oaks Boulevard is scheduled to open on June 24, 2026.

The store is located within the growing Hammock Oaks development just north of The Villages and will provide another grocery shopping option for residents in Lady Lake, The Villages, Fruitland Park, and surrounding communities.

Neighborhood Market stores are smaller than traditional Walmart Supercenters and focus primarily on groceries, fresh produce, pharmacy services, household essentials, and convenient pickup options.

Store Appears Ready for Opening

A recent visit to the site shows a project that appears to be in its final stages before opening. Walmart signage has been installed, parking lots are complete, landscaping is in place, and directional signage for pickup and pharmacy services is visible throughout the property.
